Michael R Jones
Mike is the President and Founder of Pinnacle Justice Consulting, which he created in 2017 so he and his colleagues could provide results-focused training and technical assistance to criminal justice systems nationwide. He and his associates:
(1) provide training and technical assistance to states, localities, and various justice system stakeholder organizations to enable them to improve their justice system policies and practices based on the most recent empirical research and legal developments;
(2) assist states and local jurisdictions to design and implement modern, system-improvement initiatives;
(3) perform empirical research, data analysis, and system and program evaluation for criminal justice systems; and
(4) provide expert testimony.
Mike has a strong subspecialty in pretrial justice. He has been consulting for the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Institute of Corrections since 2004. Previously, Mike worked at the non-profit Pretrial Justice Institute (PJI) for nearly seven years, where he served as the Director of Implementation, and in Jefferson County, Colorado, for nine years, where he served as the Criminal Justice Planning Manager. Mike received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
When needed, Mike partners with other justice system experts who have a wide variety of knowledge, skills, and experience to meet each client's unique needs.
